Iqa‘ Masmudi Kabir (or Masmudi, for short) is one of the most popular rhythms in the Tarab repertoire of the twentieth century. The word "kabir" means great/large in Arabic, to distinguish it from Masmudi Saghir (small Masmudi, more commonly called Baladi.)
